Operational execution / Operational R&D - field-integrated execution layer

VisionAgent

Bounded visual execution layer for legacy production/admin software without clean APIs.

VisionAgent uses OCR, calibrated ROIs, watchdog sessions and profiles so fragile UI workflows can be supervised, recovered and audited.

What it is

Operator-assist UI execution, not black-box RPA.

Why it matters

When a system has no API, the UI becomes the API only if execution is visible and recoverable.

Boundary

Selectors, profiles, logs and target details remain private.

When a production system has no API, the UI becomes the API - but only if execution is bounded, visible and recoverable. VisionAgent is the deterministic execution layer for operational environments that expose no clean APIs. It uses visual interpretation, OCR, window targeting and guarded UI actions to operate legacy software under operator supervision: seeing, focusing, typing, submitting, waiting, reading and returning structured results.

It is the operational arm of a coordination stack: MailAgent owns reasoning and continuity, VisionAgent owns bounded UI execution, the operator owns ambiguous decisions. Current deployment context is Susy KDM, in collaboration with ReelOne S.r.l. — a real environment where fragile, UI-only systems still need controlled, auditable execution.

  • Bounded, command-driven execution: UI state is inspected before acting, never assumed.
  • OCR and screen classification as a controlled sensing layer with verification and fallbacks.
  • Makes systems without APIs operable without pretending they have one.
  • Operator-facing by design: visible failures, diagnostic logs, explicit recovery paths.
  • Executes only against MailAgent-resolved context; results return for validation, not blind trust.

Recovery

Watchdog sessions keep fragile UI work recoverable

VisionAgent is for environments where the interface is the only practical execution surface. That makes recovery as important as action: sessions can time out, windows can drift, ROIs need recalibration and the operator needs visibility into what the system believes it is seeing.

The watchdog view shows VisionAgent as controlled operator tooling, not generic RPA magic.

Profile execution

SIAC/KDM lookup through calibrated profiles

When a production system has no clean API, VisionAgent treats visual state as a sensing problem and UI execution as a bounded command path. Profiles, OCR, calibrated regions and test data help the system act only inside known operational constraints.

The SIAC lookup view shows this discipline: the target UI is not abstracted away; it is inspected, calibrated and operated under supervision.

Operator modules

Bounded modules instead of black-box automation

VisionAgent exposes the parts of visual execution as operator-facing modules: OCR, keyboard, mouse, profiles, logs, menu manager, checkpoints, combos and macros. That modularity matters because fragile UI execution has to be diagnosable and recoverable.

The project is not a general computer-vision product. It is an operator-assist execution layer for specific production/admin workflows where legacy interfaces still matter.
